Topic: Is that sounds like pianoteq?

I'm interested in pianoteq.  Is there any pianoteq preset that sounds like this?

Thanks

You can try it for yourself, just grab a demo version of the site.

It sounds similar, but I thought if someone can make a preset that sounds more like that. This recording has move reverb and effects. It doesn't sounds like a real acoustic piano

Sure...in fact you're gonna have more control in Pianoteq than you would in other sample libraries because you can actually change the nature of the piano model itself; though, depending on how close a match you want, you might benefit from the more granular control the full version offers you.

Here's a quick test with the demo version (I only have the lighter Stage licensed on this machine) using;
  • Steinway B
  • Sympathetic resonance cranked
  • Long tail hall reverb
  • soften hammers
  • reduced dynamic range
  • increased hammer noise
  • condition set at about 25 (for tuning variation)

It's not an exact match but an idea what you can do in just a few minutes of messing around....and anyhow I think the real value of mimicry such as this is learning which techniques elicit the response you're after and using those tools to create your own sound.

wow, sounds great. Can you post the preset? Did you start from the Steinway D Home/prelude/other ?

@DefaultIT
Great job of learning a bit of the piece and mimicking the sound (which parameters to change) starting with the Steinway B.
