Topic: Default MIDI mappings

I discovered that when using Pianoteq as a VST plugin in Band-in-a-Box I have to set the MIDI Controller 7 to Volume, in order for BIAB's mixer volume to work.

I can do this by choosing the Full Featured MIDI global.  (Is there any reason to avoid that?)  Or i can add just that one controller.

However I do it, I'd like the setting to become the default on start up, so it is always there when I use Pianoteq in BIAB.  I'd like to avoid having to configure this every time I fire up BIAB.

How can I make this the default on start up?

Thanks,
Steve

Re: Default MIDI mappings

I am not sure to understand your problem.
For what I know, cc7 is the standard control for the volume on the midi world.
So, if BIAB responds to cc7 resulting in a volume change, that's ok.
If that's correct, you should now fix a button or whatever you want on your controller to always send a cc7 message.

Re: Default MIDI mappings

It's very simple. Click on the dropdown menu that selects the global MIDI mapping (in Options->MIDI), then choose "Set as default".

Hard work and guts!

Re: Default MIDI mappings

stamkorg, the problem was that, by factory default, pianoteq is not set to recongnize control 7.

EvilD, d'oh, I do kinda feel um, dumb, for not noticing that.  Thanks!!
