Topic: Nord plays catch-up with Pianoteq

Nord has announced two new sampled instruments for their Nord Piano Library: a library of sampled instruments that are free to download and install for owners of various models of the Nord Piano and Nord Stage hardware keyboard instruments.

They are samples of modern-built replicas of a 1791 Walter fortepiano ("Mozart") and an 1847 Broadwood fortepiano ("Beethoven").

Pianoteq has of course offered models of similar instruments in their free KIViR instrument set, and their paid Kremsegg I and II collections, for years.

The Nord sounds are in what they are calling the Chris Maene Collection, named for the builder of these historical replicas.

I don't see how it would be a "catch-up" when they're still using samples.

Hard work and guts!
