I know there have been issues with some music software programs and hardware, too, with OSX El Capitan. Is Pianoteq 5 compatible and has anyone had any issues? Haven't upgraded yet.

I have no issues with this combination and a tascam US 2x2 Audio Interface with a MacBook Pro 2014.

I'm still demoing the software on an iMac, late 2013 version using El Capitan with no issues here. I use a Mackie Onyx Blackjack interface.
I upgraded to El Capitan on the first day of public release, and haven't had any problems with Pianoteq.

Many thanks for all your replies. I upgraded to El Capitan yesterday and it works fine with my Apogee Groove. No issues.
