Topic: Muted strikes?

Hey guys, is there a way to enable this effect in Pianoteq? When you place your hand on the strings of the piano and i lt sounds,.. Well.. Muted.

Like in the beginning of "Tulip Trees" by Rob Costlow

Ravenscroft 275 included it and I thought it sounds really cool.

The Mute slider in the action panel doesn't really sound that similar to the videos posted. It's like the note is just shorter.

Re: Muted strikes?

With Action/Damping duration to its minimum and playing staccato or moving impedance all the way to the left, it may sounds a bit like what you want. The first video sounds more like a muted guitar effect to me though.

Thanks!
I'll keep trying to find a setting that'll do. Otherwise, can I submit it like a request? Does that go right here or in a different part of the site?

The second video I posted, about ravenscroft 275, doesn't really show it well, this one is much better. Minute: 14:30
