Topic: Taking up the cudgels for Pianoteq 4

Hi there!

I do have PT 5 on my Laptop but do not use it. I like the improvement realized in PT 5 but my courrent laptop (only 1.8 GHz) is at limit performance with PT4 and since PT5 seems to require a bit more CPU-Power, my computer is not able to give me a satisfying polyphony.

But all in all, PT4 is at least just as much as I will ever need in a digital piano setting !!!

Here is a recording with the Bluethner on Pianoteq 4:

...and another one I did with the PT 4 Rhody R2 (Tremolo a bit overdone, sorry about that...):

Hope you enjoy it!

Cheers

I recommend you upgrade your laptop. I bought cheap laptop for 300$ with Pentium 2020M and PT5 even with maximal polyphony I never seen cpu loading more 50%.

IMHO, PT5 is much more realistic than PT4.
