Greg, my "dream" is simple, and based on the following premise:
When you play a trumpet or a flute or a guitar, you carry your sound with you. Us pianists can't do that.
But imagine the next best thing:
You walk into a jam session where a keyboard is already installed. Take a "pianoteq box" out of your pocket, plug it in, and start playing with your own sound.
P.S. I did take up the trumpet as a 2nd instrument many years ago ... partly because of this reason, but mostly because I adored the music of Miles Davis :-)
