Why might I sometimes find that the Pianoteq built-in keyboard plays at greatly increased volume than the same preset played by my external midi keyboard? They are both using an external Echo soundcard 24bit 48KHz. The Pianoteq volume and dynamics are the same.

You can play different velocities by clicking at the top or bottom of the keys.

Thanks for that. However I notice that at the point where the white notes are level with the start of the black notes the sound level is lower than the level of the black note. Sorry for being pedantic

Beemer: The velocity is proportional to where you click on the key, relative to the length of the key that is clicked. So, if you click on the very end of the white key, it will sound the same as the very end of the black key, and similarly, if you click on the half way point of the white key, it will sound the same as the half way point of a black key. That's my understanding, anyway.
