Topic: Pianoteq "forgets" my soundcard driver info

I have been using Pianoteq for a long time with no issues with a sound card.

I use the Focusrite Scarlett audio device.

I had been using the 2i2 but recently changed to the 2i4.

After changing to the new device I had to uninstall the driver for the 2i2 and install the driver for the 2i4.

Now, whenever I run Pianoteq5 I get a message telling me to select a driver for my audio device.   After I do so, everything is fine ... until the next time.   Then, I have to do it again.   This never happened prior to installing the Scarlett 2i4 driver.

Any thoughts on why this might be happening ?

Re: Pianoteq "forgets" my soundcard driver info

Modartt (possibly responding to some customer difficulty) may have written a small auxiliary getting that customer to give Windows a needed 'kick' in order to run some ASIO driver, reliably being the point, if sometimes Windows would generate its own needed 'kick' to some part of the assembling soundchain, but other times fail to. What you describe seems very familiar to me from a past period, on just one of my laptops, when such a 'kicker' functioned with a reliability-payoff I was thankful for then. Cock the gun to fire it effect,

Just an idea.
