Topic: how to save Midi assignments

I,m very happy with my Pianoteq 5 Stage, but every time when I assign Midi buttons to my presets, simply to be able to recall them on the fly, they have vanished when I restart.
I pressed the save button with every preset, but this did not save the assignments.

Pls give me some idea....

Re: how to save Midi assignments

MIDI assignments are global, not saved within presets. See Options->MIDI. That's where you set them up and store as a default assignment.

Hard work and guts!

Re: how to save Midi assignments

Thks Evil Dragon, for the quick reply! In the manual at 3.4.3 they only tell you how to assign a slider or so, in Pianoteq, to a hardware device.

And then they state that more sophisticated possibilities are provided in the Options/Midi section.

In that section, I can see an entry as soon as I press my hardware button, . Then it says: "many actions are available,  even loading a preset gets mentioned there, but...HOW DO I DO THAT???

Help!  Much help is provided as soon as it deals about the sound engine, and I appreciate that, but VERY LITTLE  about such simple things as is my problem....

Greetings,

Geert

Re: how to save Midi assignments

It is very easy. Pick a MIDI command. Pick the parameter that it's going to control. Pick the range of the MIDI controller that will influence the parameter. Done. Save the MIDI assignment and set it as default (the big wide dropdown menu above the list).

Hard work and guts!
