Topic: I just posted a banjo sound to the FXP corner.
It isn't great but I bet someone here could make it sound better! Maybe someone from Pianoteq?

hehe, BanjoTeq
There was a banjo FXP who won a pianoteq competition some time ago.
Hm...Would need the G drone string. And ideally an open G tuning? I'm having trouble imagining how to create an open tuning on a piano keyboard, since the notes would start to repeat before the octave, given the 4 main strings. I guess some pitches could be duplicated? But many would be duplicated, giving more emphasis to some pitches than others?
It's funny. I have a pretty large collection of virtual instruments for Kontakt. Pianoteq has replaced all of my large piano libraries. It is also great for tubular bells, church bells, steel drums and Rhodes electric piano ( the Wurlitzer is close... ). I think a banjo is not such a great target for Pianoteq. I just posted the FXP for fun.
I still think a concert harp would be cool as a Pianoteq model. I would love to replace my harp sample libraries.

+ + for a concert harp . . . harps have class & Pianoteq has class.
