Topic: Something missing in the stereo field

...especially in the mid-lower to lower range.

How could i get this kind of stereo imaging? 3:27 and 4:30 into this video - this is a sampled piano playing, but the stereo imaging is superb!!

Re: Something missing in the stereo field

Hi delt!

I dont know if this help you, but I try. About the stereo imaging – choose(for example) D4 classical recording AB, go to soundrecording and move the stereo width to the right(all), exit and choose stereophonic, choose your own velocity, and, in my opinion, there you have it. Compare the sound on video to this sound(with same volume and good headphones). The sound itself on video and D4 is of course different but the stereo is somewhat same. And he talks about binaural recording – that you can use in ptq, too. As they say in the ptqmanual:”Make large and small adjustments everywhere. You can create almost any sound that a piano can create, and more.” Hope it help a bit.

Hi Delt, you may download the preset I've uploaded on the fxp corner called "modern Steinway". If you like the stereo image of it, save the mics preset with a name of your choice and load it in your own favorite preset...
