Re: Your selection for microphone position?

Just put the mouse over the fxp file, right-click, you'll get a menu to copy the address of the link, then paste in the post as such:

Re: Your selection for microphone position?

I haven't yet tried the D4 presets, but I have appreciated your Bluethner contributions. I have been using both the "Classic Grand" and the "Dulcet Hall" FXPs. For whatever reason, the "space" in these presets seems more realistic to me. Whatever you did with the mic positioning, or other settings, has made me feel that the sound is really coming from the instrument in front of me (keeping in mind that I use headphones). With the other Bluethner presets, the sound seems a little too "direct" or "close" to me, for lack of better words. This impression is independent of reverb levels. I lower those dramatically and the sense of more "space" or distance remains.

So thanks again!

Re: Your selection for microphone position?

matthew, Answer is sorry because is late. I did not to use computer as private reason for a time. First, thank for liking my fxp set. Bluethner Dulcet Hall fxp file used Church reverberation effect. But, lowering level of Mix and Duration, to reduce fittingly space sound is characteristic. And I have gotten good reverberation by adding a little delay effect. I hope that D4 fxp files try once. I discovered once again that sound very various sound according to microphone position nowadays. I am trying to make new piano tone color nowadays. Need your cheering.
