Topic: Bug with fonts in midi-player

Hello all!
Want to ask Modartt to fix a little bug with russian language in PT midi-player. Everything is good in the list of midi-files, but player displays symbols. May be, there are problems with other languages.
Here it is:

Re: Bug with fonts in midi-player

As far as I know, Pianoteq's UI supports only French and English, as shown in Options/General/Language.
Your file names are ok because the list is generated by your OS that supports Russian, but after that, anything goes...

Even in French, if you introduce accents in the file name, they won't be shown properly either, the name is all mangled up but the file plays correctly.

In fact, the French option (that I use) only applies to tooltips, some menus and internal texts. Most of the GUI remains in English.

Re: Bug with fonts in midi-player

This should be easy to solve by using a Unicode font/enabling Unicode text strings for the area that shows problems.

Hard work and guts!

Re: Bug with fonts in midi-player

There may be issues with characters missing in some fonts, but this one does look like a real bug where the string is utf8-encoded twice. We will have a look at it.

Re: Bug with fonts in midi-player

Thanks, Gilles and EvilDragon for explanations! I hope there is a way to overcome this little issue. This is not a big problem, and I got used to it. But, if it's possible...
