Topic: Lesage pianos... anyone ever played/owned one?

The factory where these pianos were built is just next to where i live, a few blocks away. It has since been rebuilt as a retirement home, where several people i know, or parents of people i know, are now residents. They kept the last piano that was bulit there, a ~6 foot baby grand with a somewhat stiff action, but still very enjoyable to play. It sounds really nice when they just recently had it tuned.

I was wondering if anyone here had played or even owned a Lesage piano.

Re: Lesage pianos... anyone ever played/owned one?

Hi - Yes,  I've played and tuned Lesage pianos (professionally) many decades ago.  I'm originally from Ottawa,  Canada and remember several bars and schools in the area had these instruments.  I've never seen one outside of eastern Canada and I only ever encountered uprights.
