Topic: FXP MP3 files

I like to share presets but I don't consider my own playing to be ready for prime time.  Is it considered alright to use an MP3 from someone else?  For instance one that was available for free download from someones site.

It the mp3 was rendered with pianoteq, I see no problem, unless in case it's copyrighted material.

Re: FXP MP3 files

Bill, did you mean MIDI file? An mp3 file created without your fxp (containing your preset) is of no use for demonstrating that fxp.

Re: FXP MP3 files

Yeah, same with me... i've only been playing a bit over a year, so my playing skills are kind of beginner-ish.

Is there any way to indicate that the audio demo for FXP files were rendered from someone else's midi files, or sequenced using renoise, etc...?

Yes I meant MIDI file.  I obviously don't want to break any laws but also don't want to offend anyone either.

Yes, you can put the credit in the Description field.
