Topic: Another organ

Requires Kontakt 5. Not physical modelling--uses samples. Free from bigcat.  A cathedral organ with over a gig in samples. The demo sounds good:

(Just happened to see this on KVR)

Re: Another organ

but you need either Hauptwerk either Kontakt... A "sound fonts" version would be fine.

Re: Another organ

And this one http://store.samplephonics.com/products...hall-organ is the same ?

Sorry not to include that information in my original post. I've changed it now to say that Kontakt 5 is required.

No, this one is different. Thank-you for posting the link. It is still larger--three gigs.

... and requires Kontakt or some other sampler as well. No sound fonts again, too bad !
(et on a aussi besoin de Kontakt ou d'un autre sampler, pas de version "sound fonts", dommage...)

Re: Another organ

Thanks for mentioning the organ, Jake Johnson.
Sorry to those of you who would like to use it and can't because it requires Kontakt. At points such as with my pianos (which you can find farther down the blog) I've released instruments in other formats such as Maize VSTi and SFZ. However an organ really begs for a graphical interface that would be either impossible or much more difficult with some formats. One of my interesting learning experiences has been the interface and controls for this organ. I had to create a new script to allow any or all of the 'stops' to be active at once. If this were not the case you would have to load each of the 14 stops separately as you wanted to try new combinations rather than just pressing a button or two. Also things I've added at community suggestion such as colored zones to indicate a split keyboard, an alternative nki with velocity sensitivity attached to the mod wheel (you can turn off VS so its like a real organ or on to match your lovely Pianoteq pianos) and alternative nkis for pedal, great and swell manuals would all be much more difficult to achieve in other widely used platforms.
As you guys know since you have been spoiled by the excellence of Pianoteq, interfaces can make or break an instrument.

Re: Another organ

thanks for the explanation, indeed it makes sense.

But what about, for example "Sforzando" and the Aria engine?

Re: Another organ

Sforzando is certainly a fine player. I'm not sure if it can be used to create a GUI like Aria can. Does anyone know? I haven't really played with it much.
