Topic: Metallic noise when damper pedal pressed

Hi -  Wonder whether anybody can help me with a problem I'm having here tonight.  When I press the damper pedal when using the instruments on the Pianoteq 4 Stage version, I'm hearing a metallic noise (don't know how else to describe it ... it's kind of a low-volume metallic rumbling).  It can be heard clearly just by pressing the pedal, while not playing any keys, but can even be heard in the background while playing the keys.  It can be heard, for example, on the D4 Jazz AB instrument, but also on any of the other instruments I've tried.  Would really like to know how this could be fixed, it's really annoying.  Any advice anyone could give me would be much appreciated.

Re: Metallic noise when damper pedal pressed

Try pushing the Sustain Pedal Noise left (full left is Off). Get to it via the Action button in the bottom right panel.

It was added to satisfy those who missed the 'whoosh' echo of the strings when the pedal's stomped; I think it could be white noise or similar, so it's possible to find metal in it. It sticks around too, so can be really annoying - especially if you're thinking 'fault', much less of a bother when you can drop it.

Ah-h-h !!!  Wonderful.  Thanks very much to both of you.  The problem is fixed.
