Topic: Early recorded piano performances measured and reconstituted
A recent article of mine in musicology, published at Music Performance Research Vol. 6
http://mpr-online.net/Issues/Volume%206...PR0074.pdf, is based solidly on Pianoteq. An excellent product with excellent support!
The article takes early piano performances recorded on 78s or rolls, measures them as closely as possible, and then reconstitutes them via midi files with Pianoteq. Constructive comments would of course be welcome.
(The audio examples open in a new window, so you might prefer to access the article in two simultaneous instances of a browser, one for reading and the other for listening, so that both activities can be carried out at the same time. But of course you don’t have to do that.)
