I would love a standalone pianoteq on my ipad that understood microtonal tunings.
Features I'd like
1 midi record and playback of at least the current performance
2 alternate tuning support
3 modifying and saving presets
4 saving an AIFF of at least the current performance.
In case you are not aware - I was able to get my M-Audio 88es with sustain pedal to work with my iPad 3 using the camera connection kit and a (this is key) powered usb hub in between the two.
There is the iRig midi adapter too (not tried yet)
While pianoteq has an excellent sound it is the microtonal and preset / sound modification support that really would set it apart from any joe's $5 piano app.
Pianoteq on iPad has been proposed several times in this forum, but the Pianoteq people have never responded.
I do not wait for it any more, there are several other great piano apps on the iPad, so the need for a Pianoteq App has rapidly declined.
If people can carry a piano controller they can laptop/notbook or netbook.
I see no imediate reason for pianoteq for ipad.
Have to say that I think an standalone Pianoteq app for iOS would be great. The small storage footprint vs the sound quality would make it unique. Sure, most of us have no problem lugging around a laptop. But a lot of people do not have, nor will they ever get, a laptop.

I agree.

I agree too. You know, I have been saying this for the last 3.5 years: there is no use for these tablety things. They don't even have a keyboard! People are sure to see through the hype, eventually.
Real smart advise. Develop your software exclusively for those platforms for which sales are consistently and dramatically dropping, and ignore the great boom in tablets (they are all idiots, anyway).
I must say that a IOS Pianoteq would be very nice! My MacBook are now quite old, but a new MacBook is not my first priority, I use my iPad mini (the first edition) for all portable usage (except when I need a good piano...). There are good synths and but no really good piano for iOS yet.... IT world be wounderfull to use Pianoteq On the iPad!
That's my opinion!
