Topic: Option of saving midi options with a preset.

Updated. I DID FIND THIS OPTION AS A SEPERATE OPTION THAT MUST BE REDONE EACH SESSION. Also when i load my fc7 preset, which has a toe up undamped setting, heel up damping, i must flip it once. It then " realizes"  the toe is up or sends info. Ironic. If i set this to heel up damping, which is an unnatural foot position, this lack of data flow would not be an issue.  Is this the novation impulse not reading the data, or the pedal not sending the value periodically? Either way guess its a design choice since sending a cc every 1/8 sec would be wasteful to economy-minded folk, unlike wasteful slobs like me whose cc footprint are a concern.

The real issue is NOW WHEN I TRY TO SAVE CURRENT MIDI MAPPING, VELOCITY OR PATCHES MY PC KEYBOARD CREATES 4 LETTERS 4 EVERY 1 PRESSED. PLEASE LET ME KNOW HOW TO FIX this one. My pc keyboard has no oddites in other pgms, just pianoteq.

ALSO, IS THERE A WAY TO SAVE MIDI OPTIONS WITH A PRESET. IF NOT, COULD YOU ADD IT TO THE LIST OF SAVE PRESET OPTIONS. THAT WOULD BE WAY COOL!

The preset and other options took a few hours of experimentation. I deduced (correctly or not) that there are 4 classes of saved (or unsaved) data that are ultimately involved with user experience.

1) velocity and pedal response
2) midi options
3) audio options
4) presets

It would be helpful if these were delineated in a welcome tutorial or some such. The manual is big and i haven't seen it thete either, at least not a very simple statement.

Clicking on velocity or note off, aftrtch, or pedal does allow saving a file with pedal data. Be aware that if you have not done this it will not restore into your next loading of a saved preset. Maybe if you did these settings in standalone, or for some other reason, you will lose this info if not saved.

But the next biggest issue is that your MIDI options need to change if you use pianoteq for multiple uses or with multiple hardware, and there is no way to recall sets of these with your presets.

Say you go into a midi toolset or a DAW, where in the MIDI tracks pedalling has been generated traditionally.

My expression cc starts with heel position as undamped, on cc11.

Each time i go back and forth i change these options around. Is there no way to recall MIDI settings like this so that loading pianoteq to its saved state will bring this back. I would not want to necessarily force an update of audio or MIDI main settings, but the ideal would be to allow basic mapping changes/presets as a separate gui area.

Lately my work has been to design around a keyboard players performance (on off pedalling using cc 66), but i am also a piano student (using the great pianoteq half pedalling).

Thanks. I hope this does not inconvenience the people whose hours of work created this masterpiece software.
