Topic: Spectrum Profile

Hello Everybody,

I'm having trouble using  the spectrum profile (PRO) on a note per note basis. Basically, I'm trying to raise the fundamental on some of the lower notes (individually); however, I can't seem to do this without affecting other notes. How can I use the spectrum profile on a single note without affecting other notes?

Thank You.

Re: Spectrum Profile

Welcome Karl to this forum.

Regarding spectrum profile, please have a look to the Pianoteq manual section 14.2, there are 3 instructive examples; in particular, example 2 shows how to avoid "propagation" of the settings to other notes.

Re: Spectrum Profile

Thanks Philippe. I'm clear about the propagation now; however, I'm not certain where I can alter the fundamental on the graph. All I see is a vertical yellow line cutting across the graph (grey/dark grey horizontal lines).  Basically, I want to raise the fundamental (1) on some of the lower notes to get a "deeper-sounding" lower register.

Thank You.

Re: Spectrum Profile

Example 1 in section 14.2.1 shows how to increase the third partial by clicking in the third bar. If instead you click in the first bar to the left, you will modify the fundamental. The corresponding note (small square) on the control bar below must be active (yellow), else you cannot draw.

Thanks, Philippe.
