Topic: ...well, my neighbours really like Pianoteq :D

hehe so i just had a little chat with a few of my neighbours... i live in an apartment building with kind of poor sound insulation and they say they can hear my playing, and complimented on what a good piano sound i have, like i had a grand piano in my appt.

Just though i'd post about it here (bear in mind i'm kind of a beginner at piano, i've only been playing for about half a year)

On a related topic... there's a retirement home near where i live, that building used to be the Lesage piano factory. It was rebuilt into a retirement home a few years ago. Two people i know live in this home. They kept the last piano that was built there, a Lesage baby grand, it's in the lobby. I played on it a month or 2 ago. Very nice instrument, at least from what i can tell as a beginner. I'm going back there tomorrow to visit some of my friends (one of them is a pianist) and will have a chance to play on the baby grand once more

Yeah I sure believe you can show off pretty well with Pianoteq. People will think you have the most expensive grands in you home

Good thing with Pianoteq is using headphones, then your neighbors can sleep at peace ;-) BTW, is there *ANY* flat in the world that has good or at least satisfactory sound insulation? Damn I can hear my neighbors telephone ring.

I like playing with headphones, thats the best way to indulge in that awesome string resonance sound, I love that so much.

This is too precious! i just learned that last week, the upstairs neighbours (a chinese couple, owners of the nearby convenience store) registered their two young children to piano classes <3 <3

Is that so? I can sometimes hear when mine flick a light switch ;-)

Indeed.
