Topic: scala scl to kbm

How do I convert scl files to kbm?  I dont think i can run scala on my MacBookPro - and I dont know the program anyway.  Is this a complex process?  I seem to remember importing scl files into Pianoteq in aprevious version, but maybe I'm dreaming ...

Re: scala scl to kbm

You are not dreaming.

From the Tuning Menu select "Temperament" then from "Temperament" select "Other" then from "Scale" select "Load tuning from file". You can then select the .sci file you want to import.

Hope this Helps.

You can run Scala successfully on a MacBook Pro although from experience it's sometimes a major nose-bleed to install. What tunings are you after, I may already have them as .sci files.

"How do I convert scl files to kbm?"
scl files are scales files
kbm files are keyboard mapping files (keymap)
Converting scales to a key mapping doesn't work!

kbm files (from Scala program) Pianoteq recognition

I have some trouble for Pianoteq to make it recognize kbm files.
Simple example: a simple localization of any scale between the 60 to the 80 MIDI note with a reference frequency at 55Hz makes the Pianoteq 4.5 keyboard totally grey (with any MIDI key sounding).

If somebody can help...
