Topic: All-in-One PC to run Pianoteq and display Sheet Music

Does anyone have any experience using an All-in-One PC like this one

to act as a virtual music stand displaying sheet music and running pianoteq at the same time?

If so, what are you using for sheet music and does it have touchscreen-enabled annotation functionality?

Soon I'm going to buy an Odys Aeon 13,3 tablet. Had an ipad for a while but the screen was really too small. It was a useful library, though.

I looked at them briefly because of their obvious benefits--they can sit behind the keyboard and don't need cables for the monitor, etc.

One thing to be careful about for music, however, is the hard drive speed. This will not matter for Pianoteq, but if you also want to use sample libraries, you may find that some of these all-in-one systems are limited. I saw several that had 5400 speeds.

I use an iMac at work. A beautiful machine. Expensive though.

A few years back, I used to use a tablet convertable laptop to run Pianoteq and display music using the free pdf xchange program (http://www.tracker-software.com/product...nge-viewer).  I was able to annotate music with a pen on the screen.  It works, but there can be crackle sounds in Pianoteq when you change pages (using a foot pedal).  Now I use 2 seperate computers: a second hand Motion Computing computer I picked up a while back to display pdf music and a laptop to run Pianoteq.  I think it works better than trying to do everything on a single machine.

I hope you forgive my little Off-Topic insight, but since many people here like compact smart solutions, here one interesting thing:

Now someone need to create a wise solution to add a 88keys controller by side his large monitor.

:-)
