Topic: Internal Sample Rate and Realism

I wish Modartt would allow users of the standard and stage versions of pianoteq to increase the internal sample rate.

I think this will greatly improve the realism of the sound I am getting in the high notes.

I am a student and cannot afford the 400 euro pro version.

My laptop (an entry level i3) handles the 48kHz sample rate with ease, even in the heaviest passages the CPU load never goes above 50%.

Even entry level sound cards (like the one in my laptop) nowadays support 192kHz or at least 96kHz.

I understand Moddart don't want to overload CPU's in their entry level product, but at least allow us, the users to choose to increase it if our computers are capable.

Not only the PRO's want good sound quality. Ordinary customers want it too!

And computers keep getting better; I'm sure anybody with a modern intel i3 or i5 processor will be able to run pianoteq with an internal sample rate of 96kHz.

Re: Internal Sample Rate and Realism

Your ears don't support high sample rates, so why worry?

I think the sample rate can be changed in the standard product, I don't know about the Stage product.
If Windoze audio has a 48K limit that is a different matter.
