For curiosity I search about this music...

I found that:

I never heard a Steinway sounding so pop !

A bit strange...

I think that they were playing while listening to the audio track in that video. I don't see a vocal mic, and I don't see any cords coming out of the synth player's keyboard. I think this is done in a lot of music videos. Not lip-syncing , exactly. Just playing along with the audio, so that the piano sound we hear is not the sound of that Steinway, even with effects added.

Nice theory.

Probably the right explanation.

Hello, I am new to the midi thing, what is a good player for MAC, and of course the player with a slowing feature to learn would be nice too.     Anybody mind be annoyed with this question, i'd appreciate it.

My two favorite midi sequencers for Mac computers are Digital Performer and Apple Logic Pro.  It is very easy to slow down the tempi of any midi file with these two sequencers.

There is a different type of software for mac, called "Transcribe"  -- much, much less expensive than DP or Logic -- that allow you to slow the tempi of commercial recordings.  Please note that Transcribe works on the audio source, rather than the midi notes, so it is a completely different entity than a midi sequencer.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Joe

As a brand new user of Pianoteq, your question raises a question in my mind.  By "would love to play this midi through Pianoteq", do you mean a) play (as in listen to it thru Pianoteq) or b) play (as in learn to play the piece on your keyboard using a Pianoteq preset)?

If you mean b), how is that done in Pianoteq?  In other words, how is the actual score of a MIDI file displayed?  FWIW, I own Pianoteq Stage.

Thanks!

There is no display in musical notation of the MIDI file. You just load it and play it.
