Topic: Pianoteq 4 and loopbe1

Hey,

I just downloaded pianoteq 4 demo to try it out. Now i am wondering if its possible in any way to make the loopbe1 driver as midi out for the pianoteq4. I would like to control other software same time i am playing with pianoteq.

Thank you.

Re: Pianoteq 4 and loopbe1

Pianoteq can listen to external MIDI files via loopBe1. For example WinAmp's Nullsoft MIDI Player DLL reads a file from one of its playlists as input and presumably hooks onto loopBe1's own input-end to cable it across, and if Pianoteq is "listening for all MIDI inputs", it hears loopBe1's output of the Nullsoft MIDI file. Now, the page you make this setting happen is Options > Devices. Surely if there were a setting to do as the Nullsoft DLL does (that is, "talk" to loopBe1's input end) it should also appear same page, but none shows there.

PTQ can write MIDI files of course, but that's not quite the same thing, though it's close. You seem to play, so does your controller NOT some way provide a MIDI Thru output as well as the channel your PTQ listens to? Thinking a physical cable here. Laptops having no MIDI jacks I one time bought a MIDI to USB converter (think it was M-Audio brand and was called Midisport - though it's now superseded) and one of its outputs provided MIDI Thru - plus it wasn't expensive.
