I just bought a Kawai VPC and am thinking hard about buying the PT as it has many good reviews here. I will use the PT along with the Yamaha Tyros 4 as the orchestral backing. There are so many AIs out there and I do not know which one to consider. I am looking for one that can give me the best piano sound. It makes no sense to buy the best piano software with average AI so I eagerly await your responses. Thanks! DP

I think the question is about the best "AI", i.e. audio interface. I'm not sure the Pianoteq forum is the best place to ask that question. There are many considerations in that choice: whether you want PCI, USB, or firewire connections, how many input/output channels, etc. I would start out just using your built-in audio card for playback. If you feel the sound quality is not good enough, then consider buying an AI.
