Topic: Vox Continental

Has anyone talked about add ons like the Vox connie maybe Gibson or any of the other vintage organ sounds? Ray Manzarek of the Doors comes to mind as well as some of the artists during the 60's.You can obtain samples from their library..."Hollow Sun" and "Vintage Organs".But it would sure be great if their was some modeling done with that keyboard. It might even be created in some type of DAW.I'm still new to all of this so please forgive me if this is off topic or if theirs lack of interest.

Re: Vox Continental

GSi VB3 plugin has modelled it.

Hard work and guts!

Re: Vox Continental

I have modelled the Vox Continental, and also the Farfisa Mini Compact. Both are freely available for as VST and AU plug-ins for Windows and Mac OS X.

I used to use a Gemini electronic organ in the 70's for jamming with some friends of mine. I have to say that your modeled Farfisa is excellent and sounds just like my old Gemini. Now here is a question, back in the day I was also a proud owner of an Elgam Snoopy electric piano. (It sounded nothing like a piano of course). Do you know if anyone has modeled this?  http://synthwise.com/feeds/analogue/the-elgam-snoopy

I don't know... I don't think so.

Hey Tale

Very cool - especially since you're from the Netherlands too and very closeby :-)

cheers

Thanks - and yeah, very closeby.

Re: Vox Continental

Moddart should do a Hammond B3  tonewheel type model.
there aren't many decent Hammond models out there.

GSI/VB3 is the only really good/great one I've seen in a VST,
and that one hasn't been updated in 3 YEARS!!

Why couldn't  Moddart  do the wonders they do with a  complex piano tone,
with the generally less complex  basic  tonewheel  drawbar tones?

Moddart doesn't have a Rotary effect  in their effect palette (yet) , but i would
probably run it through  VB3fx or a ventilator or a real leslie anyway.

More Hammond options out there in the VST world  would be welcome (I think).
