Topic: Quesion about getting Instrument Add-On as VST (ant not only D4)

Hello
I have purchased Pianoteq Eletric pianos (Wurly, rhody) and I really enjoy it
But, now I would like to use them as VST in GarageBand
Unfortunately, Garage Band recognize pianoteq as VST instrument, but allows me to choose only amongst D4 piano presets, nothing else: other instruments are not there

I have the latest version of Pianoteq
Does anyone have a solution for that ?
Why the other instruments are not in the VST ?
Can I generate a new VST file including all presets I create in pianteq ?

No, all is loaded via Pianoteq - you cannot "generate a new VST file". When you download the PTQ file for electric pianos, just drag&drop it on Pianoteq's interface and they will be imported and you will be able to select them from the preset menu.

I can use the Eletric pianos inside Pianoteq, that is not my problem (an dthere is no PTQ files to download as Pianoteq 4 comes with theses pianos, but you must activate them by purchase)
My problem is that I cannot use them as Vitrual instrument inside a VST host like GarageBand => then I can onmy choose between the D4 presets
Then, my question about  creating" a new VST files including all the instruments ?

It might be that there is a version mismatch between standalone and plugin version of Pianoteq you have.

Uninstall Pianoteq then reinstall it, activate the EP add-on, and it should all work. It all works normally over here.

I have uninstalled everything using MacCleaner (Therefore, I am sure everything has been removed) and re-installed everything => same results in GarageBand

But there is something I cannot understand : How the pianoteq VST file can take into account my activated AddOn without being re-generated ?
Indeed the VST file I have has not been changed since 12/12/12....

How could it work ?

If you open the pianoteq interface in garageband (clicking on the button below the 'Sound Generator' label), you can select whatever pianoteq preset you want to use through the pianoteq interface. You can also save them as presets recognized by garageband by clickin on the menu displayed above the pianoteq interface. This menu lists the presets known by garageband and has a 'Make preset...' and 'Delete preset...' entry.

Perfect, it works !
I did not notice that you can open the pianoteq interface via GarageBand (it is the first time I am trying VST host)
