Topic: Early Christmas gift from Pianoteq !

Happy happy joy joy !  Singing bowls ?   A Hammond addon ?  A virtual piano bench ?  Exciting !  No -really !

It's tough to even venture a guess...I bought the Bluthner model with my 20 Euro video money and I consider that a great gift already!  Maybe an intimate, eclectic upright?    How about a scratch & sniff sticker that smells like a vintage, well loved Bosendorfer?

I like that.
My Santa request would be virtual cymbals with enough variation spread across one key bed to mimic a splash to a ride to a china to a gong.  I know -it's deviating far from a piano.  But Pianoteq is a percussion generator after all (don't forget the bells) and sampled cymbals just can't manage the variety of tones and sympathetic nature of multiple strikes, etc.

A harp would be fine.

It would be interesting to see if their physical model engine could handle the dynamic complexity of all the variations a single cymbal can produce.  I wonder how involved a basic experiment would be by the Pianoteq creators?  I wish I knew more about the process involved. Aside from their piano models, the large bells & steel drums were really impressive IMHO.    -Perry-

My bet: it's a time machine.  ;-)

Modartt planned to announce the Early Christmas Gift at 12:12 CET, but the countdown clock hits zero at 1:12p.m.
So it must be a time machine for turning the time back by an hour, perhaps with some nice bells!

Maybe an updated Pleyel!

20 Euro? It's 49 now, was it cheaper before? :S

No, it has always been 49 EUR

Re: Early Christmas gift from Pianoteq !

Time is the weirdest thing, I’ve asked that question thirty times today, and every time someone gives me a different answer.

It get's even more complicated with Modartt's different timezones who try covering all Europe (I  think)
EET - Forum's time (CET-1, GMT-2)
CET - Early Christmas Gift announcement: no announcement was made at 12:12 (CET, GMT-1)
GMT - Early Christmas Gift countdown: will hit zero in 30 minutes at 12:12 (CET+1, GMT)

Re: Early Christmas gift from Pianoteq !

sorry, we have had a few hesitations between GMT and CET -- anyway, now everything is online
