Topic: Tentative suggestion: velocity sensitive unison detuning
I notice that in at least one sampled piano at my disposal, that the unison detuning appears to increase for FFF. (i.e - more detuned for FFF) I don't know whether this is authentic or not, but it sounds like it could be - it sounds like everything sort of goes out of control when the strings are struck very forcefully.
Of course, the detuning does fall back into place quite quickly, so I guess what I might be asking for is a setting similar to "Direct Sound Duration" - something that allows the unison width to be initially wide, and then narrow as the note evolves. (this is kind of opposite to Direct Sound Duration!) Come to think of I recall mentioning this aspect some time ago, in passing.
