Topic: Ownership of Piano Manufacturers

Today I heard that Samick bought 40 percent of Steinway NY and that Samick owns part of Bechstein; took a while to find it:

For a company that started in 1958 (from scratch), they've done well.  I remember the first Samick pianos - disgusting didn't adequately describe them.  How things change.

Which is bad news - the first post or the Youtube thingy?

Let's not forget that Yamaha bought Bosendorfer - perhaps that's better than Samick with Steinway.
