Topic: FLAW ALERT! Loud notes dropped on repetition.

Roland is guilty of this, too. It's as though when playing repeated notes, new strikes simply replace older strikes, rather than layer on top. I know previous notes aren't suppose to ring out 100%, but it's pretty obvious that Pianoteq is cutting them off prematurely. NOT GOOD! PLEASE FIX!!!

PS - Polyphony is not the issue. I have it set to the max, and my new Mac doesn't even break a sweat. Pedaling is not the issue either. Sometimes I didn't even lift off/replace the damper to play new notes, and they still dropped.

PPS - This was recorded with YC5 Stage Ambiance, no alterations.

Re: FLAW ALERT! Loud notes dropped on repetition.

Hi Joshua,

Pianoteq does hold repetitive notes without any cutting. Please contact support (you can email me directly) and attach a midi file and the fxp file (just to be sure about your exact setting) and we will find out the cause of your problem.

Regards,
Niclas
