Topic: Wondering about multiple computers

I have recently been looking into a new piano solution.  I have an old KORG sg-proX.  I love the keyboard on it, but the sounds are getting rather dated and I don't think I can put up with them much longer.  I've been thinking of getting either pianoteq or the gem rp-x module, but haven't decided yet between them.

Last night however, I was given someone's old 3 ghz P4 computer.  I understand pianoteq will have to have some of the low end reverberations turned off (correct me if I'm wrong) and won't handle a whole heck of a lot of polyphony with this old a processor, but will run, yes?

My question is, if I purchase pianoteq and use it on this computer for a while, will I be able to put it onto the new laptop I plan to buy in the future?

Related question.  I plan to use pianoteq on the laptob because I gig a lot and don't want to lug around my desktop computer, but when i'm at home it doesn't matter.  Is it allowable to have pianoteq running on 2 different computers at the same time?

Brookston: an "old P4 2.8 gig" is what I use for the last couple of years, and I can tell it works extremely well with PTQ3. Mine have installed 2 gig of ram  a SATA2 disk and a M-Audio audiophile 2496 asio sound card. I have no issues at all regardind latency (3 msec), poliphony, or lo end eq. In fact, no other software I tried comes close to the performance of PTQ running in this "oldie" = ) so, good luck !
