Topic: adjust pedal on Hammond

Hi,
I assume I can run Pianoteq on my new Hammond XK-1.

But the pedal-function on the Hammond is to switch the lesley effect on or off. Do you think I can overrule that function of the pedal via my laptop and make it a sustain pedal for piano?

Thanks, Thomas

I just skimmed the manual and it seems you can choose the foot switch's effect inside the keyboard, but I think there is always a Control Change 64 being sent via MIDI which is exactly what Pianoteq needs for the Damper Pedal.

Pianoteq Pro 8.4.3, Organteq 2.1.2, MacBook Pro 16" M4, MacOS Tahoe 26.0.1, Universal Audio Volt 4, Logic Pro 11.2.2, FM8, Absynth 5, The Saxophones/Clarinets, Reaktor 6 and others

OR!

You can go to Options->MIDI, and set Sustain pedal to respond not to Controller 64, but Controller 1 (if that's the controller that's controlling Leslie speed on your XK-1).

Granted, it won't be continuous. But you'll have your sustain functioning.

Hard work and guts!

Thanks guys,
it worked. I adjusted the pedal function in the keyboard. It works!
