Topic: Feature - Clip and Save Midi

Considering that it is possible to load RECENTLY PLAYED ON THE KEYBOARD sequences into the MIDI area, it would be nice if we could then mark a beginning and ending position for that midi area and save as a midi file.

For myself, that would allow me to play/practice a piece for an extended period and if I happened to play something quite well for a portion of that time .... hang on to it, if I was trying for a recording of that piece.

Good idea

Re: Feature - Clip and Save Midi

I use that scratch pad feature myself and have often wanted to clip a short portion.   That makes it easier if you open the midi file in a program for further editing.  However,  suppose you want more than one segment that is separated by a bunch of junk notes . .   just dump the whole sequence into a standalone midi program anyway and then you can clip and edit to your liking.

Oh, sure ... I know you can put it into some other MIDI editing program and do exactly what I described.

I just thought it would be a nice finishing touch to the process that is already in place within Pianoteq.

It would be handy to be able to just smear the mouse cursor over a portion of the roll image and hit delete.  These guys at Modartt are so clever about such esoteric things.

Yep.   That would work.
