Note the video. And the last words in the video.

Re: A "printed" guitar

In some decades they will print food...

Talking about string plucked instruments...   A stronger string maybe come in few years.

A man found a way to replicate spider' web, the molecular formula.
He found the gene responsible to produce the protein that generate the spider web, inserted the genes in a goach.
The protein appear in the goach's milk, and need to be separated. The isolated protein can go to a process to produces a filamente.

It's stronger than steel and kevlar (bullet proof material). But the amount it's still  it's too low to a string manufacture.  Maybe in some years.

Then we'd have a piano capable of catching flies so what music attracts flies? can they hear?
would be interesting to hear that guitar. My brother owns a plastic trombone that sounds quite fine, very amazing.

Perhaps they could print a large goat. Larger goat = more milk = more filament. Bahhh.

Re: A "printed" guitar

Many scientists talk about print human tissue and some simpler human organs.

There is aleady a printer that print cells, I mean layers of cells to try form a tissue.

The synthetic spider web can reate stronger bullet proof materials and some replacements for ligaments for orthopedics uses.

And why not a stronger string for guitar... ?
