Topic: 3? 4? 5? speakers?

Is anyone using 3 or more speakers for pianoteq? If you could explain what/how/why (details), that would be great. In particular, I'm interested in a 5 speaker setup (one per channel). Is anyone using more than 5 speakers? Thanks in advance.

Re: 3? 4? 5? speakers?

I use 4 speakers connected to my M-Audio Fast Pro.
Pianoteq works in recording mode with 4 micros, without reverb and unison width at 4.69.
The two first speakers are placed on the keyboard and the other two on floor.
The sound produced is spatial and better than stereophonic manner.

Re: 3? 4? 5? speakers?

Burns300, Thanx very much for sharing this. If I could ask a few more questions ..

What speakers (brand/model) are you using? Are they for home/studio or gigs? Or both?
A hypothetical what/if: Why 4 speakers and not 5? Pianoteq has 5 output channels, yes?
Hypothetically: are there benefits to be derived from a subwoofer?
Which keyboard controller are you using and do you recommend it?

Could you please repost the link to your setup ... the link in your post resolved as:

THANKS VERY MUCH FOR ALL INFO! MUCH APPRECIATED!!

Behringer MS16: active 2-way personal monitor-system

yes, you are right but my sound card (M-Audia Fast Track Pro) has only 4 outputs

No, I don't think so.

Yamaha P140. I don't recommand it. I am waiting for a best controler as Fatar built (wood keys).
