Topic: What is the percent value on the Pianoteq display?

At the top left corner of the display there is a percentage value. I couldn't find that listed in the manual. presumably it is audio load? Could somebody confirm?
Thank'

I think processor load...

CPU load.

Hard work and guts!

Sorry, I definitely think Not CPU Load and Not Processor load

I think it must be Audio Load:

Can you explain how it is CPU / Processor Load?

Maybe Modartt can also clarify

Many thanks

Re: What is the percent value on the Pianoteq display?

This is the amount of time spent in the audio thread, the one that is actually computing the samples for the soundcard. When it reaches 100%, that means that pianoteq is not able to compute samples fast enough to feed the soundcard, and you get cracklings.

Another interesting element on your screenshot, is that while your cpu is able to run at 2.6GHz, it is running at 1.1GHz -- if it was running at full speed, the audio load would be 7% instead of 18% -- so all these measures of cpu load have to be taken with a grain of salt when the cpu clock itself is varying a lot !

Re: What is the percent value on the Pianoteq display?

Thanks Julien for the feedback. That makes perfect sense.

I agree that the results need some interpretation with dynamic speed CPU's that continually adjust performance based on processing load.

But the time in the audio thread is the answer I was looking for.

Many thanks!
