Topic: To the people asking more wood or disliking the bell sound.

First, I have to say that I find pianoteq 4 almost perfect, and that's because there is always room for improvement but I have no complains of metallic sound or lack of woodness, on the contrary, is my fav digital piano and I finally have my dream of having a piano in my small apartment.

However, I want to help those who doesnt like the bell sound on the bass notes.

The fast solution, try the fxp made by sebion, he took out many overtones with the bell sound. he even reckoned they are sounds presented on an acoustic, he just didnt like them. Stenway specially is famous for having a kinda metallic bass compared to other pianos.

The slow solution, use the q factor, cutoff and string lenght, I tried it and got rid of it or got it dismished, still as I said, I prefer the piano with it. I gotta tell you that the samples has it as well, I can confirm first hand that Ivory 2 has it, vintage D has it as well, its a harmonic that is part of the piano, never an artifact.

Hope it helps, pianoteq was the only one that allowed me to remove that sound btw. Every day Im more impressed with it.

Btw if you havent, please listen to mystheria demo, for me, is the best demostration of D4 power.

Edit 1: Philippe just made a new fxp where the bell sound is very short and it keeps the powerful deep bass. Pls try that one as well!.
