Topic: Global Note Edit ?

One of the features I was hoping for in PT4 was what I termed as ... Global Note Edit.

Basically, this would allow PRO users to define a particular Note Edit setting that would permeate throughout all of the USER DEFINED PRESETS.   I do not believe we have that.

I have just come upon my first need for it and I would like to plead for this option, again.

One of the users has just given us a FXP which includes a NOTE EDIT modification involving the DETUNE area with various tiny modifications throughout.   It appears to be a very worthwhile modification that I believe might be useful for all my USER DEFINED PRESETS.   The bad news is that I do not know how to duplicate that without a lot of painful investigating and hopefully accurate inserting of the precise modifications on each of my presets.

What I would like to do is simply right-click on the NOTE EDIT item with the modifications and select INCLUDE IN ALL USER DEFINED PRESETS ... done ... but that option does not exist as far as I can tell.

Is there a simple way of doing this that I am missing ?

Re: Global Note Edit ?

Not exactly what you are asking for, but are you aware of the freeze button (left to the random button)? By (left) clicking on it you can select the parameters you want to freeze. Then checking the box (right click) will freeze these parameters when you change preset, and then you can save your new preset.

Thank You .... I am aware of it, but totally forgot about it.    It has been a while since I have been fussing with modifications, etc ...

That should work.
