Topic: straight piano

hello and sorry for my english.  i'm looking for a preset that emulate a strait  up  piano,
it is to play new orlean jazz  off 20"s to 30"s

with a minimum of reverb (as dry as possible) becaus it will be played very fast...
someone can help me?

Re: straight piano

There's a preset of Pianoteq's M3 that's called "Flamenco Sketches" which is based on the piano on Miles Davis Kind of Blue album. A little more recent than you're asking, but should be a good starting point.

Keep in mind that if there was a piano that perfectly emulated the RECORDED sound of 1920s or 1930s jazz piano it would be ghastly to actually play. We're very forgiving of recorded sound. They're most likely playing nice grands for recording; just doesn't sound that way.

ok, thanks a lot ;-)

Re: straight piano

Whats the preset with the best bass?

Re: straight piano

"Best" is subjective.

Hard work and guts!

Re: straight piano

Is simple, without the need to trasnform the question into a philosophic debate as almost every thread here, just say whats the best for you and a reason if you want to.
