just a thought...

Se pourrait-il que, la plupart d’entre nous n'étant pas habitués à écouter/entendre une "parfaite" * sonorité de piano ; nous préférons les "imperfections" et la chaleur qui émanent d'un piano qui, lui, ne l'est pas *... d'où notre promptitude à affirmer que telle sonorité de piano samplé, ou tel logiciel de modélisation n'est pas réaliste ou nous semble un peu fade...
Après avoir testé un certain nombre de produits (quelques-uns m’ayant fait craquer, adieu les quelques économies que j'avais de côté, car je résiste à tout... sauf à la tentation   une certaine sonorité de piano a finalement retenu mon attention, et réponds, quasiment, à toutes mes attentes. Il s’avère que ce produit a été plutôt bien perçu et même acclamé, mais, et cela me semble justifié, certains lui reprochent son coté «parfait», un peu froid. Il est, par contre, incontestable que ce produit possède de merveilleuses qualités: que ce soit pour sa sensibilité, son expression, son touché avec une attaque digne de ce nom.
(NB: cette attaque est l’élément qui manque cruellement à un logiciel bien connu... et mon avis est qu’une fois ce détail réglé, ce soft de modélisation, unique en son genre, et ô combien intéressant en raison de ses infinies possibilités, occupera enfin la place qu’il mérite)

-Synthogy Ivory II Italian grand est le son de piano qui m’a vraiment séduit et s’apparente le plus à ce que j’attends d’un piano virtuel.
-Galaxy Vintage D est vraiment des plus agréable et vous avez là un piano possédant une indéniable personnalité et offrant certaines possibilités.
-Piano in Blue de Cinesamples, c’est le piano qui traine dans ce bar de New York depuis on ne sait combien de temps, et sur lequel on s’attarde à 3 heures du matin...
(bien que des plus simple: il est cool ce piano...  (il vous faudra trouver la bonne courbe de vélocité)
-Pianoteq, mon préféré, est bien plus qu’un logiciel de modélisation, sa sensibilité et sa sonorité s’apparentent de beaucoup à l’Italian Grand... abstraction faite d’une «attaque» laissant à désirer, il est de loin, le soft le plus intéressant, et musicalement parlant, offre un maximum de possibilités.

Histoire de perception... et après, on boit un pot

(*) Quatre petits vieux assis sur un banc regardent les nuages. L’un s’exclame: «oh! regarder, un chateau fort gardé par un dragon ...» l’autre, levant les yeux au ciel dit : «Hum! il n’y a ni château, ni dragon, mais un énorme ours en peluche...» le troisième homme, un tantinet sarcastique susurre: «Voyons! hormis une accumulation de micro gouttelettes d’eau en suspension dans l’air... il n’y a rien!»
Sur un ton plein de malice, le dernier des quatre dit: «C’est amusant! nous avons tous regardé la même chose, et pourtant ... en tous cas, ces nuages grossissent à vue d’oeil et se font menaçants... Courez ! »

Could it be possible that most of us are not accustomed to listen / hear a " *perfect " piano sound, we prefer the "imperfections" and the heat emanating from a piano, which is not * ... hence our readiness to assert that such a sampled piano sound, or that software modelling is not realistic or seems a bit bland ...

After testing a number of products (some made me fall, so goodbye  some savings aside, because I can resist everything except temptation ... some piano sound finally caught my attention, and respond to practically all my expectations. It turns out that this product has been fairly well received and even acclaimed, but, and this seems justified, some criticize his side "perfect", a little cold. It is, cons, the product certainly has some wonderful qualities: whether for her sensitivity, her expression, her hit with an attack worthy of the name.
(NB: this attack is the element that is sorely lacking in a well-known software ... and I think that once this detail is set, this soft modelling, unique, and so interesting because of its infinite possibilities, finally occupy the place it deserves)

-Synthogy Ivory Italian-II is a great piano sound that really appealed to me and comes closest to what I expect from a virtual piano.
-Galaxy Vintage-D is really the most pleasant and you have a piano with a distinctive personality and offer some possibilities.
-Piano-Cinesamples in Blue is the piano that you have in the New York bar since no one knows how long, and on which we look at 3 am ... (Although more simple: it is cool this piano ... (you will find the right velocity curve)
-Pianoteq, my favorite, is more than just modelling software, its sensitivity and sound are akin to many of the Italian Grand ... apart from an "attack" unsatisfactory, it is by far the most interesting soft, and musically, offers maximum possibilities.
