Topic: MIDI channel selection

Hi all,
I've run into an issue that's puzzling me. Using Abelton as my host, I set the Notes channel on Pianoteq to MIDI channel 1. However, it does not matter which channel I'm transmitting on from my Roland RD700GX, or my Nord Electro 3, it's still triggering Pianoteq. Can anyone please tell me what I'm missing here?
Thanks

Hello Mark,

While I have no personal experience with Abelton, I downloaded the Abelton reference manual to look into the cause of your problem.  Chapter 13 describes routing of midi channels.  Immediately, in Section 13.3, I noticed a graphic that states "All Channels" -- which sounds similar to your predicament.  Without getting into too much detail, I would suggest that you visit this same section of Chapter 13 in the Abelton reference manual, and make sure that you have not left some tab set to "all channels".

Cheers,

Joe
