Topic: anybody uses CME keyboards?

Hi,
I thinking about purchasing portable keyboard for using pianoteq on the road,
and I was thinking about new CME Z-key which have piano like keys although semi weighted. Anybody here has experience with CME keyboards? because I read mixed opinions about quality.

Re: anybody uses CME keyboards?

Hi

I use a CME UF80 in combination with the CME GPP3 pedal. The UF80 is an 88-key weighted keyboard. I like the feel and touch a lot and enjoy playing it each day.
I think the quality of the keyboard itself is good enough. I did have problems with upgrading the firmware - during the upgrade the process stopped so I ended up with a not working keyboard. After taking it back to the dealer we discovered that 'just USB power' wasn't enough to get that job done.
I haven't had any problems whatsoever since then - it has its own power supply now and playing is a charm.
I use the Pianoteq default velocity curve and feel that it handles the full range pretty good from nearly 0 to the full 127.

I don't know the other keyboards from their range from experience though.

cheers
Hans
