so all i need is a piano, this cable

Yes, taken that the digital piano has midi out, nowdays many dp's come with usbmidi output.. wich makes that midi-usb interface obsolete

Since you're using MIDI through the cable, the sound will come from the computer if you have PianoTeq running and your device is recognized by your computer.
