What version are you running? My Pro version has duplex and it can be adjusted (for each individual note).
I believe it's also in the "regular" version - not sure about "Play".
Glenn
PS Edit: It may only be available in the Pro Version - which by the way is really worth the extra in my opinion. The Pro version is extremely versatile at modifying to a particular sound, but it does take some learning and knowledge. I simply could not get along without it.
Also, welcome to the forum - there are some very knowledgeable people here (I'm not classified as one of those) that are willing to help (although I help if I can).
I speak about rear scale of an Steinway.
not about duplex scale
Thank you Olivier for the very interesting link to Fredrik Oberg's thesis.
Pianoteq is equipped with a duplex scale similar to the rear duplex scale of Steinway grands (as well as many other brands including Yamaha, Fazioli...). You can control its level in the standard and pro versions. The duplex scale implementation depends on the piano model that is simulated.
BTW, welcome to the forum!
Philippe enjoy a detailed scientific article about piano, like this, in the same way a kid enjoy DC Comics.
I did enjoy reading the thesis too, and I'm not a physicist, it's quite easy to follow actually since it's experimental work (not too many equations)
Too bad nobody noticed the huge typos in the two first cover pages before publishing... (Dupex Stringing)

How strange! I didn't notice it myself when reading it. I read once that our brain reads only a few letters per word and makes automatic completion. Looks like many people here have done such a completion!
Try ask Julien to fix this brain bug.
IS she moving clockwise or anticlockwise ?
