Topic: Confused about pedals

I've been reading the forums for a few days but I'm still confused.

A lot of my trouble seems to be that my Roland rd300-sx only supports one damper pedal and one control pedal (which could give me an on/off una corda pedal I suppose)

But if I want to get 3 pedals working it would seem I'd need a MIDI device like the CME GPP-3 and go straight into my aptop and let pianoteq do all the work.

However I've seen posts refering to the fatar 3 pedal but I don't know how I would get this to work as it's not compatible with my roland and I would need to convert the signal to midi first... I think?

Am I best off just shelling out on the CME despite it's price and poor reviews or is there another solution?

Thanks for any help.

Murray.

Fatar+midi solution into m-audio fast track pro.
roland via usb midi into laptop.

Re: Confused about pedals

I've just ordered a CME GPP-3. I'll let you know how I get on with it when it finally arrives!

Re: Confused about pedals

Cheers.

Seems like it's going to be only solution.

But I'll wait and see.

Advice from an owner: if your unit seems even slightly dodgy, return it instantly to the store; it will probably keep getting worse and CME the company will be no use to you whatsoever.

Other than that, when it works it's fine.
